A desert oasis with history.
The historic Castle Hot Springs resort will reopen in fall 2018 after being shuttered for over 40 years. This historic landmark is nestled in the rugged Bradshaw Mountains, an hour north of Phoenix. Enjoy a serene desert getaway and natural hot spring experience unlike anything else in the Valley.
The resort originally opened in 1896, and throughout the early to mid-20th century was one of the country’s most desirable resort destinations, attracting affluent families like the Astors, Vanderbilts and Roosevelts. A fire devastated and shuttered the property in 1976, until a complete rebuilt began in 2014.
Escape and explore.
A stay at Castle Hot Springs will transport you back to an era of personalized service and true relaxation. Guestrooms without televisions and limited cell service will invite you to unplug, unwind and experience the beauty of the desert.
The resort will offer 32 luxury accommodations, the Castle Hot Springs Brewery, and an organic farm and greenhouse that will provide over 150 varieties of fruits and vegetables for the on-site restaurant. Spring Bungalows will feature oversized tubs, with water piped directly from the natural hot spring on property, which produces over 200,000 gallons of pure, odorless, 120-degree mineral water each day.
Outdoor indulgence can be found at the original resort pool, which dates to 1917, and in the three natural rock grotto soaking pools that are fed by the spring. Experience true wellness with unique programs, spa treatments and workshops, or head out into the desert for adventurous activities including horseback riding, hiking, and ATV and Jeep tours. Castle Hot Springs invites you to relax, renew and emerge transformed.
